"I tell you, even though he will not get up and fie you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need." Luke 11:8 (NIV)
Back in November I was reading how Jesus was teaching his disciples on how to pray. Right after He shows them the Lord's Prayer he asked them to "imagine" a scenario, he tells them to supposed that at midnight they get a visitor from far away and this visitor is hungry but the disciples do not have any food to offer him. So they go to their neighbor and start knocking, and yelling from outside to please give them some bread to share with the visitor that came from far away. I don't know about you, but I would be very upset with my neighbor! First of all, I would let them know that I was not the one with the visitor and they could march themselves to the nearest 24hr super store to buy some bread LOL! And then go back to sleep.
But what this passage showed me was that we can come boldly before God and with shameless audacity to make our request known to Him and He will give us as much as we need. The passage continues on Luke 9-10 saying "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
What have you been praying for? I want to encourage you to continue praying with shameless audacity...

Let me stretch my faith, I stand firm on Your Word. There is no doubt in my mind, heart, and spirit that will complete your work in me. I come before you with shameless audacity. Here I am!
